Well, rvdwannabe, I suspect that you and I are the only ones who think like that. I never thought about it any other way until I was looking up the lyrics to use in a fic and read that they were Christian...even then, I took it like Evanescence - Christian members, rock band. Of course, to me, not everything is about god. Then again, I'm Wiccan, so...yeah.

i think this song is about a person that is lost that is not in gods way and that is looking for the light and hates the way they feel

"In the midst of darkness Lord My spirit calls for you" Those lines right there make it clear that he has been talking to God throughout the song. But those who do not have a relationship with God or just have a different way of thinking can choose whatever meaning fits them (unless it is completely unreasonable). One of the great things about bands like 12 Stones, Switchfoot (AWESOME BAND, check them out if you haven't heard of them), they aren't saying "Lord" every line, so my sister (who is not Christian) can listen to the songs, and still both enjoy them.

bhcguitarist... The members of 12 Stones, along with most of the intonations of their songs, ARE Christian. Even the band's name stems from Christianity. According to the bands website (paraphrased): "The 12 stones they refer to are the 12 stones that were set into the Hoshen, a breastplate worn by the high priest Aaron in the book of Exodus. Each of the stones represents one of the twelve tribes of Judah. The number 12 is also important in the New Testament because, for one, Jesus had 12 apostles." Also, the members of the band state that each of them has a "personal and spiritual relationship with God." So evaccording to what the band members themselves said, I think they and their songs can be called Christian. And, that said... since "Christian" is an adjective, and an adjective is used to describe a noun according to the characteristics of said noun, I think it is perfectly acceptable to call 12 Stones a Christian band.

Ever since i heard "Broken" a few months ago I have really gotten into this band. Like Huangloung, i didn't know until now that they were a christian band. They rock, and this is probably my favorite song on the album.

Am I the only person who feels that most 12 Stones songs could be about a girl, rather then God?Maybe its because I'm a romantic, but there isn't that much that distinguishes thier songs as being "about God", and just because they are a "Christian band" doesn't mean the songs are all about God!

Yo what up this is Big-T this song made a huge impression on me when i 1st heard it. it talks bout how you live one way and you do things that aren't right and you know you shouldn't but no matter what everybody else sees on the outside, God can see what's on the inside. That juss what it means to me. Peace out-->
