| this is a tough one, but i think it has to do with a girl who gets around, or just a girl he has sex with. And he looks at her and sees someone who is stronger than him for some reason, perhaps because she can use him, or vice versa. also the line "the echos will come, they'll come all around, and drain us all dry", he mite be talking about rumors, and how when ppl find out about him and this girl, the rumors will destroy them and their reputations | |

| It appears to be about someone the writer has had a relationaship in the past and now they have a just sex thing going on. Only the only reason he agreed to it is to keep her it some form. the echoes refer to the echoes of what use to be, i.e. their relationship. The last line refers to his faith she will one day love him again. If you were wondering on the first line it represents his amazement that she can bury the feelings she use to have to use him. However thats my verson of it. Sounds right to me, could be wrong, ask the writer. 1 | |
