3 Doors Down is an American alternative rock band formed in 1996.
The band signed to Universal Records in 2000 for their first record, The Better Life. They received international attention with the release of the single "Kryptonite". The single crossed over several formats, peaking at #1 on rock, alternative and pop radio. The album went on to sell over 5 million copies.
