A simplified version of an easy song; I'm really not sure about the solo, but that's all
could get from the song, sorry.
Enjoy!

I woke up today in London, As the plane was touching down
C Dsus2 Em
and all I could think about was Monday, And maybe I'll be back around
C Dsus2 Em
If this keeps me away much longer, I don't know what I will do
C Dsus2 Em
You've got to understand its a hard life, That I'm going through

And when the night falls in around me, I don't think ill make it through

I'll use your light to guide the way, Cause all I think about is you
>>Now play the intro:
>>For the rest of the song the chords remain the same as before.
Well L.A is getting kinda crazy, And New York is getting kinda cold
I keep my head from getting lazy, I just cant wait to get back home
And all these days I spend away, I'll make up for this I swear
I need your love to hold me up, When its all too much to bear
And when the night falls in around me, I don't think ill make it through
I'll use your light to guide the way, Cause all I think about is you

The song also reminds me a liitle of "Like a Rock", because the beginning has a little bit of a pickup truck feeling as well

The song is great, Brad and Bob's voices really blended well together. So well, that at times you couldn't tell that two people were singing. I wish Seger would have gotten a little more solo time, as his voice is perfect for this song. As far as the meaning, it is about someone who spends a lot of time on the road, away from home. They miss their family, and want so badly to see them and spend time with them. I think this song perfectly describes what many truck drivers go through. I'd like to see what it would sound like with Bob Seger doing it solo. If he were to sing it with the same emotion that he did here, then it would have the potential to be even better than the original.

It makes so much sense to myself... the life on the road is lonely, and I cannot describe how tough it get a times... I've seen so many bands and artist suffer under the presure they feel every single day, and how the road never seems to bring you home. The only reason one can remain sane is when they have someone they love so much, one that can be their light through the night...

I almost forgot...this is Brad's favorite song on the CD...look for it to be a single eventually. (It will likely have the same huge success has here without you....save the date...I call it now...LOL)

Being on the road, and living so far from home get's to you sometimes. This song reminds me of work and how the hours i work and the time i have to spend away from people i love hurts me.
