two words: LOVE IT especially the accoustics gives it an outerspace kind atmosphere I think (only way i can describe it). But yea if I know anything it's definitely understanding where the betrayal in this song is coming from been down that road one time too many. And you're right about the whole "trapped" feeling chino. People like to talk, talk about plans and dreams ect. and so forth. Such as talking about working in some fast food joint saving up some money to go back to school when in reality it often seems too daunting a task with one too many risks. So you constantly hear people "cry wolf" saying that their going to change but they never do. So when you break down the phrase "cry wolf" it means your just talking shit and that nothings gonna happen. Thus in this song they negate the phrase turning it into "I WON'T cry wolf" meanings that this time it won't be just more hot air and BS spilling from my mouth but rather things are gonna change even if you have to do it yourself. Anyway yea stumbled across this song when checking out Adema music videos and saw it was the theme for the movie "Cry Wolf" and thought wow how original. Anyway I thought the video was cool and the music kicked ass so I delved deeper into the lyrics and this song is now my new fav. song :)

Well, betrayed definitely, I have a way deeper look at this song, but I'm really too lazy to go into it and I really don't know how to say a lot of it, I may have overanalyzed and said revenge although looking at it I forgot why I said that.

finalpoet very excellent description in two words. I feel you there with the betrayal and revenge. Here's my view as well: Seems like a lot of us are caught up in the same place. The world (society) is more about tricking you into thinking you're in a euphorian society more so then you really are. Each day you wake up to billboard's of captivating beauties and watching TV of beautiful people that you can feel a place with. But the reality is, until we break out in our own individual lives, we are slaves to someone. Many of us have awaken only to find ourselves stuck in that corporate place or whatever it may be that seems to be an imprisonment. On our own individual journies we will find many answers, and the way out. "The one I trusted sold me this is overblown But I didn’t want to believe Everyone I trusted deceived me" Our attempt to be a part of society and we trust others only for reasoning of wanting to fit in. We want to be a part of something because we truly love others. That is something we cannot help. But now we allow ourselves to be controlled. We thought we did so well to whomever controls us, whether it be a co-worker, lover, manager, boss, whatever. Some authority figure usually. But that person is only a megalomaniac. They want the power and spotlight to themselves. They only service themselves. "I will lose my mind make it real this time To leave it all behind I won’t cry wolf Show me a sign planets will align I’m gonna blow my mind I won’t cry wolf" From a literal, surface perspective it looks like this person is going crazy. But in reality the transgression to a higher state involves you giving up your mind. All that logic, rationalization, and thinking needs to be taken out of you. It is what grounds you here, and sometimes it is too heavy. We need to break free and listen too our hearts. Let the mind do its thing, and you'll let nothing in. "I won't cry wolf" This is significant to me on a personal level. Because I, myself have been trapped in a job I don't like. And for the longest time I felt I couldn't break out. That if I quit I couldn't support myself. Now I'm letting faith fill in the holes and insecurities. So, when you're ready to make the stand, don't talk-the-talk, but know that you'll walk-the-walk jsut as well. Know that you are truly loved by higher forces out there if you stay close to your heart and do the right thing. And when it seems like you're going to risk it all... just know you are in soft hands. This song has been very personal to me.

This song is about being betrayed and getting revenge. The new album is very different from the old ones, what with the lead singer change and all, but it's still a good Cd, this is definitely one of the best songs off of it.

Mark Chavez was kicked out of Adema for being a crack-addicted alcoholic. the band isnt better or worse. The somber mood of this song almost makes me think thats its about suicide. He says "I will lose my mind make it real this time To leave it all behind I won’t cry wolf Show me a sign planets will align I’m gonna blow my mind I won’t cry wolf" To me he is Saying that he will kill himself, and he isnt just saying it this time. He really wants to do it, but cant find the strength (in his Mind) to pull the trigger. he always ends up coming back home. this is just what i think, listen to it again, see if you find what im saying. CORRECTION TO LYRICS: "I figured out I’m holding onto TIGHT And I can’t let go I’m hiding, I’m needy, on the inside I’m bleeding I’m searching for something but Can’t seem to find me" 1
