| Actually what I meant was I didn't think Aerosmith wrote religious songs BACK THEN (1987) - they did write more of these after their "Get a Grip" album (about 1994). | |

| stoolhardy, St. John was a religious song on the same album as Angel (Permanent Vacation, 1987). beltheshazzar, "save me" isn't a specifically Christian term, it's what people say when they need saving and are requesting help (from danger or whatever). If the lyric, "What can I do, I'm sleepin' in this bed alone," is about Jesus, then it's kind of a Cartman way of singing about Jesus I think ("I wanna get down on my knees and start pleasin' Jesus, I want to feel his salvation all over my face."). The rest of it makes sense as a religious song though. | |

| I dont think it makes any sense as a religous song... I'm in tears, and the cryin' that I do is for you I want your love, let's break those walls between us ??? That and, if it was about Jesus, they wouldnt refer to Jesus as Angel, or even more so "baby," it just doesn't sound right. As for the rest of it, I guess you can make a far fetched connection, but I think it's fairly obvious this is not a religous song. | |

| Aerosmith has been my favorite band for 16 years. I would have like them longer, but I've only been alive for 16 years. This is probably my favorite Aerosmith song. This one or Crazy. Probably this one. I love the guitar on it. Joe Perry is an awesome guitarist, and I'm gonna practice until I get as good as him. Tyler and Perry make the perfect team, and I wish someday people will look at me the way I look at them. | |

| This is called selling out. This is why so many rock fans don't like aerosmith, and it's a shame cos they're awesome when they're being themselves | |
