I kept the right [Am]ones out and let the [G]wrong ones in

There were [Fm/G#]times in my life when I was [C/G]goin' insane
[D/F#]Tryin' to walk through the pain[F]
When I los[Am]t my grip and I [Em/A]hit the floor
Yeah, I tho[C]ught I could leave but couldn't get out the doo[F]r
I was [Fm/G#]so sick and tired of [C/G]livin' a lie
I was [D/F#]wishin' that I would die[F]
{c:Chorus:}
It's a[C]mazing[Em], with the [F]blink of an eye you fin[Em]ally see the lig[G]ht
It's a[C]mazing[Em] when the mo[F]ment arrives that you [Em]know you'll be alrig[G]ht
It's a[F]mazing[Em] and I'm [D]sayin' a prayer for the des[G]perate hearts tonig[C]ht

And [F]how high can you fly with broken wings?[C]
[Am]Life's a journey not a des[D]tination
And I [F]just can't tell just what tomorrow [G]brings
You have to [Am]learn to crawl before you [G]learn to walk
But I jus[C]t couldn't listen to all that righteous tal[F]k

[D/F#]Scratchin' to stay al[F]ive
{c:Chorus}

Yeah, great song... I've definitely felt that way. In fact I felt this way recently, which is why I started listening to this song again. I recently felt awful over a failed relationship with a girl but then one day, after stressing about it for weeks... I was just okay. I realized it wasn't the end of the world, and that I can make things better. 1 2 Next

The old guy in Chrono trigger was Belthazar... And as for your interpretation belteshazzar, I'm happy for you that you found that meaning in it, But I'm sick and tired of Jesus freaks applying Christian Dogma to everything!!! Actually, I almost agree with you... Except for the fact that I don't believe that Jesus was the messiah. I beleive he was a powerful man, and that he performed miraculous deeds... In my opinion, this song is simply about finding your way back to the top when you've hit rock bottom. The light at the end of the tunnel is you.

This song is self-explanatory but soo truuueee 'It's amazing with a blink of n eye, you finally see the light' Indeed, the smallest things can make us happy, and put us on the right side... after having "let the wrong ones in"

The song makes me think of someone with a drug problem or maybe drinking, and then they found that special someone who was able to aide them in overcoming the problem. I absolutely love Aerosmith!!

This is A GREAT song, I'm pretty sure it is about the band and their past troubles and ultimatley overcoming them...JUST LOOK AT THESE LYRICS: That one last shot's a Permanent Vacation (they had one last shot with their album...PERMANENT VACATION, which did REALLY WELL and made them relevant again) And how high can you fly with broken wings (Aerosmith's logo containts wings, and during the early 80's they were broken, with Joe Perry gone and numerous band problems) Life's a journey, not a destination And I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings...yeah (The band as a whole can't tell what tomorrow may bring, but they are all greatful and happy that they have been around so long, had a second coming, and the fans still care) EMOTIONAL SONG ONE OF THEIR BEST

My girlfriend quoted this song to me in writing, and I wanted to cry when I read it, even with her sitting right next to me. Sometimes the best way to express yourself is through someone else's words. Love, she be an enchanting mistress, no?
