| I love this song so much. Definately one of my favorites. I think its that I dunno, Davey was just in this bad situation and he had nothing left to lose. Three tears ive saved for you... meaning he is still thinking of the person whom he is speaking to in the song. Will you help me to get through?? Asking this person will tehy help him. Will you be my destruction?? Are you that person that has caused this pain. Will you help me to be thorugh?? Will you help me to kill myslef (not physically help him but will you except what I have done and move on instead of dwelling on it). | This song means you have lost everything and u feel overwehlming despair, but the despair brings a comforting warmth because u know things cant get any worse "so I lie in this field bathed in the light that loves me with nothing left to lose" "id retrace the steps that led me here but nothing lives behind me" means u remember how things were before this event happened but it is all gone now and u have nothing left to lose "three tears ive saved for u" means u r still clinging onto the hope that u will overcome this despair and have that feeling back (maybe of someone who left u) and so u save three tears. i was going through a time like this and this song is all i listened to. i think all of the meanings are right, and most of daveys lyrics are ment to be interpreted in the way u want them to be. | |

| this song seriously kicks ass..as do many AFI songs. i think davey is expressing himself at his worst, and refers to the only thing that can save him as being someone or something that's alway been there for him. he almost seems to be begging for help: "will you be my, be my beloved? will you help, help me to get through?" its heartbreaking. very emotional. 1 2 Next | |

| I relate to this song fully right now, but i wont get into that self-pity bullshit. Anyways, It's an excellent song, I prefer him singing loud, like he does further into the song, rather than him whispering in the begining. To me, this song is about him feeling depressed and down on everything, and he feels that there is only one person who can pull him out of the whole of depression that has been created around him. As for the three tears statement, i think that it is a sentimental statement that only really Davey has a grasp of what he means. | |

| one of the first AFI songs i heard was this one which totally described how i was feeling. my friend was helping me with my mom's death and we always talked and he was my destruction he helped me to get through and i always saved my tears for him since he helped me wipe them away.
