| Punk in drublic says... to me, this song represents two people's friendship (maybe between a christian or a religious person to an atheist) and how this person doesn't really care about the atheist type... like it's just a friendship based on fun, not respect or love. | |

| personally i think hes talking about a shallow and attatched g/f and something in that sense bc it seems like hes asking her if he went to sleep would she stay around or would she just up and leave bc there would be nothing there for her to cling herself to.... i dunno im prolly wrong but that just kinda seems like it makes sense | |

| AFI is my favorite band of all time. They put so much meaning into each of their songs. And i love how they let you come to your own conclusion of what the meaning of the song is. | |

| ok. I was talking to one of my "guy friends" and we had been bickering and fighting alot. (he is a hard core AFI FAN) haha n e way i was listeing to this song while talking on the phone and he heard it and told me not to dedicate this song to our relationship. i think that this song is about like idk maybe its about some one who he once trusted is growing old and cold and just a glance for they dont care to see what becomes of me. meaning no one cares. (so he feels) | |

| Davey Havok just has a way of making everything sound so beautiful. "The vibrant heart so quickly growing old." But as long as it's growing old with you .. than it's growing old happy. | |

| I think its about someone commiting suicide. And remembering his "friends" that have abandoned him. and now he is dying and asking if there is anyone that would remember him because he has no friends to do that.. i kno kinda crappy but thats my take on it. -.xSage | |

| I think the song is kind of straight forward it seems to be asking the question of if AFI took a long break would you still remember them or after the band stops making music will you remember them and also it seems to talk about people who don't care about him because he looks or acts differently and they never really get to know him. | |

| I think this could be about someone that is unsure of their relationship with someone. Whether it be a friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/parent/daughter... etc. They would like to think that the person cares about them.. but deep down, they have doubts. That's my interpretation, anyway. | |

| I can honestly say that this is one of AFI's greatest works. I love how stong and powerful the song is, and then it just shifts to a soft bridge, and back to being fast again. As for the meaning, Davey has the most mediphoric (sp?) songwriting techniques i've ever heard--ever. after a while, i stoped trying to figure them out, and just like to listen to them. When they play, they have the best way to express even the darkest subjects beutifully. Thats about it. | |

| I think this song is talking about being betrayed by someone close to you. "Fall into open arms that offer their protection. Quick to deny that their open to deceit." And after being betrayed, the chorus of the song refers to whether anybody will remember him or help him, or if they will just forget about him and move on with their lives. | |
