| Secret-x-stars: hm... what a good idea! *gets to work* Yeah, it's definitely she said, "endlessly". He's talking about how there was someone in his life, but he never had the chance to say I love you. He knew that she was his true love, and that if she loved him, she would wait for him to come back. It's a very touching song to me, because I'm going through the same thing. Therefore it's my favorite on the album. | |

| real lyrics: Walked into our world and made horrible sounds. I can still here them today. Strangely, they seem beautiful now though they outlast my love. Still, each time I always meant every word, every one. Thought, in time they finally bent every word, every one. "I will wait for you," she said, "endlessly." "I will wait for you." So spoke misery. I returned to you but found my empty home. The radio told me to stay. As it burned down I sang alone. You will outlast my love. I have been waiting for you, biting as you taught me to. I have come to relieve you of life and love. | |

| The "girl" in question is actually misery. Just look at the chorus, the last line..."So spoke misery." No matter where he goes, what he does, he will always come hom to an empty house, misery will be his only friend. It's poignantly beautiful... | |

| Ya, the pronouns on most of the songs on this CD are like that. As for the theme being revisited in On the Arrow, yes and no. Yes they are undedniably linked, however if anything I would put that before Endlessy chronologicly. I believe On the Arrow is the action and this is the aftermath. In On the Arrow she tells him she will wait, but the narrorater doesnt believe her and simply left, here he comes back to find she did as he thought she would. If you havent already, I highly recoment looking into On the Arrow, it is highly relevent to this song. | |

| This song is beautiful The new CD would be great, if it wasn't AFI. And you watched AFI from the beginning turn into something so different. I hate to tell you, but all of these songs are rips off other bands. This CD has a bunch of techno mixed tracks, and its just not like them. Good or bad, depends on who you are. | |

| At first, it seems like a lost love type of song. But I see something more. Maybe it's love that took to long to happen rather than lost love. "I will wait for you." she said, "Endlessly." could be less depressing than most people would think. | |

| I love this song, this song is my favourite one in their new album. It's so sad, I almost cried. " miss_melancholy" I think it's ""I will wait for you," She said "Endlessly."" Because I think Davey is saying that the girl said that she'll wait for him to come home even if it takes forever. I love AFI | |

| It sounds like to me someone came, (walked into our world...) and stole someone he loved, and he feels betrayed becuase she did not wait for him like he promised. This theme is revisited in On The Arrow as well. The only thing that throws me off is that he's using the pronous "she" and the pro noun "you." Are the she and the you two different people? "You will outlast my love..." so maybe the person he loved was not the 'she' being referred to? This owuld make sense becuase he also calls the same she "misery" (so spoke misery) So maybe this 'she' stole the person he loved away from him, If I were bold enough to say so. I really don't know, the pronouns don't line up. | |

| Trusworth it's called paying homage. They stated in loads of interviews influences for this album were bands they listened to growing up in the 80's. Don't be such a posessive neurose, AFI can evolve in whatever way they want, this is a great album whether you like it or not. | |

| The talk of biting throws me off, as to the meaning. And I'm curious as to whether the words go: "I will wait for you," she said, "Endlessly." or "I will wait for you," she said endlessly. Gorgeous song. Especially the ending. The whispers in the beginning sound like they start out saying "It sounds funny.." or something like that. Hm. | |

| after reading a lot about afi i now no that davey doesnt rite about girls b/c hes been hurt a lot and hasnt had a gf in a looooooong time abd the reason why the pronouns r off is b/c davey is refering to his fans in this song all through out the cd too thats why he says "he" "you"and "she" b/c he says both she and he b/c fans r both girls and boys and you is when he is speaking directly to you thats why so when ever u read something from like sing the sorrow and decemberunderground he is referibg to his fans his one and only love rite now so if u read all of decemberunderground's songs davey is referibg to his fans like in prelude and most of the other songs so in this song the fans say they will always wait 4 davey maybe when he left and when he came back he had no fans no one here 4 him maybe he also may be refering to a friend who left him????who nos but thats wat i think | |
