Afroman consists of Joseph Foreman.
Afroman (born Joseph Edgar Foreman, on 28 July 1974) is a rap artist from South Central, Los Angeles, California, but later moved to Palmdale then to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His best-known song is the 2001 hit " Because I Got High", which gained popularity through Napster, local radio play, a feature on Howard Stern's radio show, and the "stoner" movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (and accompanying soundtrack). His other most popular song, " Crazy Rap", is often refered to as "Colt 45", because of it's lyrics, "Colt 45 and 2 Zig Zaggs".
Afroman may now be a Christian. The lyrics of the songs on "Afroholic" begin with references to drugs and sex but then the last verse is usually about how Afroman has now found Jesus.
Afroman is also fond of referencing his independence from record labels and the "corporate world" and cites himself as an example of how an artist can take recording and distribution into his or her own hands.
Afroman is over-due to release 4 or 5 albums. He was slated to re-release Sell Your Dope and Because I Got High, on December 1, 2005. as well as releasing new albums, Fucc Tha Corporate World Memories and Party Time.

All songs are different versions from those that appear on later albums, except Tall Cans. The title is likely a reference to the KRS-One song My Philosophy.
The version of Mississippi is different than the one on Because I Got High (2000).
