	i dont doubt at all that this song is about go-karting...and nothing else. Thats what I love about alexisonfire, they don't take themselves seriously at all. everythings a joke...its refreshing to see a band like that

	ok, what im about to copy and paste is from an interview that Dallas did with Ultimate-Guitar.com. He was discussing some of the bands lyrics, and Hey Its Your Funeral, Mama came up: "There's a part of us that really likes to just have fun with what we're doing. We don't like to take ourselves too seriously and that song is a perfect indication of it. George had a nightmare about this place around our town called Prudhommes Wet & Wild, it was sort of like a tiny water park/amusement park. There were these really awful go-karts and George one night had a nightmare about the go-karts at Prudhommes. So he wrote a song about it." So there you go...

	yes, a very good track. i think it's the first song dallas wrote for alexis, but i'm not sure, i just remember reading it somewhere.. but i think shandy is right, there has to be something mroe to the song that just go karting.. i think it could be him and a friend go go karting and maybe one crashes and he gets injured bad? im not sure.. "we'll see who's machine was most recently serviced" could be about how it fails one of them or something? i dont know.. its a tough one.

A couple running away together, one turning around and saying 'theres always going to be a threat of stuff ruining us here (parasites) so lets get out of here and be together peacfully ?" Again this could just be me talking from personal experience again, my parents tend to do their best to drive a wedge between me and my partener. but maybe its a similar situation all they wanna do is be together and be happy without people trying to wreck them so they decide to just run and get away from it. "We don't fear [5x] These machines" mayeb this is just them saying that they aren't afraid of running away and they're not afraid of the unknown that stands before them as they leave? "I got the scoop, I got the scoop And it doesn't look so good, so good for you" Up until now it has just been one persuading the other to leave and now one has found out that if they stay one of them is gonna have a tough time so lets just go Other bits of the song are just them saying lets get away and do it fast, they're taking a really cheerful outlook on the situation and they're excited at the prospect of running away Just an idea as usual ^_^

	oh.... what the hell is this song... this is one of my favorite from AOF... but i never give attention to the lyrics (i'm french so the sense is not obvious for me)... but i like know and understand lyrics... ad i didnt understand this one... and i reed this is about karting? i am shoked! haha :D when you translatte in french, the lyrics totally sucks... like almost always with english lyrics :/ but i like this text... there is maybe no deep sense, but yes, this mean somthing to me... something about being crazy, live the life in 200%, etc etc. (and yes, we wear a helmet when we do karting, chiodos...) so... the clipvideo is totally fun i think. i love this song so much... 1

	In serenity's explination (above) they were talking about the parasite thing..well if this song is about go karting, then the "treat of parasites" is probably talking about how when you go to a go karting place and you wear the helmets that who knows who else wore, you never know what your getting in your hair:)

	yeh, i think they made the right decision there. One of the many great things about No Transitory is its immediacy in the opening. Straight into it, no fucking about. Although, i do like that instrumental bit....definately fits better at the end of this song tho

	hahahaha...i love this song. The guitar's great. About go karting...Alexis never fail to amaze and entertain me. It all makes sense when you know that. well...the beginning bit just about preparing for the race. Getting your helmet on. The parasites thing could be nits or something. Then you've got the race. One drives red, one drives black (duh) and the outcome of the race may depend on which car is the best (which was most recently serviced) and the rows of goodyears is what you get on a go karting track around it so you don't randomly drive off into the distance. The we don't fear these machines...well...i dunno...just about not giving a fuck while you're racing. the I've got the scoop bit's great. Just a random thing you might shout at someone in a race. "I've got the scoop man!!! And it don't look good for you!!!" haha...Alexisonfire are great
