| I think this song is sung from the perspective of a homeless youth. Dallas sings "Stare in amazement, I can't believe this is where I live!" which refers to living on the street. The whole songs refers to the homeless, not only youths. It's dark and hopeless. "We are the lost cause," "Soon There will be nothing left." "The line up seems endless underneath the salvation sign" = the lineup to the Salvation Army. The city is haunted by homeless from broken homes. They are the ghosts and lost souls. Alexisonfire really stepped it up on this album and they deserve major success | |

| i love this song just like everyone else but i have the slight feeling it has something to do with war of some sort lining up for the savation walking through the streets where he lived and seeing it all distroyed then saying that they will all eventually die in this war that they are already ghosts -We are the bend before the break, our steps seal our fate- and also the line about broken skin, i think that is about scratches on skin and broken pavement. so on and so forth. i might be wrong. but thats just the impression i got. untill next time. crank it up xo | |

| This song is at least partially about homeless people. "Ghosts"; people that for all intents and purposes don't even exist, "Weathered faces", etc. But I think in general it's probably just about a shitty town that has deep-rooted social problems even though it's supposedly in such a "civilised" part of the world etc. That vocal line is fucking amazing - Can't Believe this is where I live"... | |

| i think this song more means about the fact that the cities are seeming to take over our lives, all the values are gone, and even though its a city the people are ghosts, looking through each other with no meaning or heart, with no composure. just like every other city in the world, hence the title. well thats my take on it | |

| This title of this sonng is more of a description to the lyrics and idea in a sense. The title "this could be anywhere in the world" is saying that this song describes a place "that could be anywhere in the world". As for the maning of this song, its saying to me that urban places are becoming wreckage, as for the lyric : the sun suffocates behind darkened skies ", this could be taken metaphoricly for pollution in the air, or it could be as literal as in black clouds covering the sun. As well as poverty " ghost from broken homes" This song I dont think has a very specific meaning but i think we all get the idea that its about the world today | |

| Just when I was starting to get "used" to Alexisonfire, they release this number. They need more credit, big +++ for not selling out (yet). This track is put together very well. Meaning is pretty obvious on this one no drama there. No.1 band at the mo. | |

| This song is really...haunting. George's vocals will give me nightmares...And I definitely like it that way. The meaning seems obvious. About a ghost town haunted by restless souls. And the 'narrator' (if I can use that expression) feels he's turning into one himself. Absolutely great track that's got me lingering for Crisis!. | |

| its about the GM plant in St.Catherines shutting down and ruining the economy of the whole city. St Catherines is where alexisonfire is from and if you've ever been there its pretty dull in the winter. theres even a map of the niagara region in the cd booklet. its totally about st catherines | |

| i know that the other song on the crisis album "mailbox arsons" is about a kid burning mailbox's as a way of revenge against his town. It may be refererring to that same town. I just wish i could figure out those missing lyrics, i've tried adjusting all sorts of controls to make it clearer but alas nothing. someone please crack the mystery. all the other lyric sites just steal the same lyrics off each other and so they all have to wrong lyrics. can't wait for this album, the vocals are awesome on this track. beautiful song. anyone know of any places online that sell good merch other than maplemusic? love you AoF | |

| Well...this song could not make me want Crisis more... Both Dallas and George (and even Wade) seemed to have improved their vocals (which on Dallas' part especially is a fucking good achievment). I love the bit where Dallas goes "I cant beLIEVE THIS IS WHERE I LIVE!". Fucking excellent. This song just reminds me of walking round my hometown with my friends (mostly in winter...this songs talking about a fairly dull and shitty city, and my city looks better in summer, lol)...just sort of walking about without a purpose....just killing some time together. The song just does a great job of generating a sense of hopelessness and despair within a broken city. Its just so fucking awesome. I listened to this song on repeat for about 3 hours the night I got it (no exageration), and i still listen to it a lot now, lol. | |
