song: angry chair
album: unpluged
tabed by: Michael Peach

This is a pretty simple song. All except for the solo.
One thing that is fun to do is take the acoustic solo
and play it over the recorded version. This tab is 100%
accurate I promise. It is also tuned at a half step.

I think the most probably theory is of sitting in the angry chair as a little boy. But I'd like to add something to that. I believe there's a mirror set in front of him while he sits on the chair because of the lines, "What do I see across the way, hey See myself molded in clay, oh Stares at me, yeah I'm afraid, hey Changing the shape of his face, aw yeah" And then a little later on, "Saw my reflection and cried, hey So little hope that I died, oh" Just my little input, one of their best songs though in my opinion.

theres absolutely no way it's about an electric chair. aic didn't sing about lame things like that. i think it goes alot deeper than that. if you listen to the song you can tell that it's coming from some sort of personal experience. and these lyrics could be said to mean many different things. just because you think they could be about the death penalty doesn't mean thats what the song is about. aic songs were about their lives and what they lived through. and obviously they didn't live through the electric chair

Lots of interesting theories guys. But yeah this song is way too deep to correctly analyze. The secrets to it are probly in the grave with Layne. One thing I thought was interesting was winter onyx's idea about the egyptian legend about how the weight of the heart mattered more than the size, because in high school when we learned about that in history angry chair was the first thing that shot to my mind so I've always thought that has had something to do with it also.

This song was written by Stayley. And I read on a web site that it's about when he was a kid, and he did somethng wrong his dad would scold him and make him sit in a chair in the corner. I would agree with there being a mirror where the chair was also. Like Im Next, the lines: Loneliness is not a phase Field of pain is where I graze Serenity is far away Are soooo powerful.

Sitting 0n an angry chair-Sitting on the toilet stomach hurts and I don't care- he has diahrea and his stomach hurts, but he's too focused on getting rid of it that he doesn't care. Burning on the angry chair-he's really starting to sweat get on your knees time to pray-pray to God that I get rid of this soon! Lost my mind, yeah-he lost his mind because he was too constipated Can't find it anywhere-he can't find his favorite magazine I'm so strung out anyway-he's crawling all over the floor in agony Field of pain is where I graze-he's in lots of pain from his constipation So little hope that I died-he was really badly constipated and died I'm kidding, I made that up for laughs. I agree though, it's probly about the electric chair. I'm gonna get so much crap for this aren't I 1 2 3 Next
