Over Now by Alice In Chains
(4 versions

From: Jeffrey K. Krinks (krinks@apk.net)

SOLO: This should be 100% correct as I got it out of the official self-titled
album tabulature book.

guitar 4, electric w/distortion tone control set to 0. (standard half step
down tuning)

1st solo:
yeah we pay our debt sometime
We pay our debt sometime (hold bend)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------12-----------
----------------------------------9-10-9~~~~~9-10-12-12b~~~~~~~--------------b12r(12)-
-7b--7b7b----------------------11--------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------
-10~~~~9h10p9-----11br(11)--------------------------------------
--------------9~~----------9~~-9br(9)p7~~~~-6--7p6---9br(9)-----
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------

This is where it gets tricky because an octaver is used, which doubles
everything one octave below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------11br(11)--9----------------------------------------------------------
--9/11-11~~-9-11-------------12p11h12p11p9----9------------------------------9h11--9~~
-------------------------------------------12---12p11--12p11-9~~-11-12p11-12----------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

octaver off:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------11br(11)--9h11-----------
------------9br(9)---------------------11br(11)-----------------11br(11)-
-9--9--9--7--------7~~~~~------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

that does it for the first solo, here's the second one, same guitar:

we pay our debt sometime
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------- repeat once, only slide
-------------9~~-----------9~~------6br(6)-----6--7---------- to to 9 second time.
-4br(4)-4/7------4b(4)-4/7-----------------9-------------9~~~
-------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------9--------9b-b9r(9)-7-6br(6)-------------6/7--9-9~~---
------------11-11b-11-/9---7-------------------------7-------7-7--------------
-9-11br(11)--------------------------------------------9--9-------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------10~~-9-10-12b-12~~-10-9-10-9--------------------------------
---10br10~~~-9-10p9-------------------------------12b--12br(12)b--12br(12)p10~~~
-7------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--19b-19b-19-17-----22b-22b---22b-22b--21---------

The relative tuning for this song is definitely DADF#AD(low to high)
despite many postings of an alternate tuning (DADF#DG). Believe me
I've tried and it is nearly impossible to play it this way. Any way,
if your playing along with the album or something, because AIC tunes
1/2 step down always, the actual tuning would be C#/G#/C#/F/C#/F#, but
who has time to do that anyway? The previous posting of this has the
first part half right at least.

Verse Fig.1 (play twice on most times)
