Greetings and Salutations:
Here's a TAB of Alice In Chains' little kick-butt number, "Put You Down".
Totally riff-based groovy song, don't even attempt it live without a
gifted rhythm section. Get your fretters nimble, the repetitive verse will
make 'em ache if you're not in shape!

| to me, seems to me like it's about a bad habit, one that's personified as a girl. it could be a girl, too. | |

| After thinking about it some more, why does it have to be hardcore drugs? It could be about pot, beer, cigarettes.. As a matter of fact, this song could be about anything you wish you could stop, but don't. 1 | |

| I believe that MrKASADY has it pretty much right on. Sicman, you need to learn a little about drinking and it's terminology (no offense). I love this song, it is one of my favorite AIC songs. Hard as hell to play though. :P | |

| One question MrKASADY, how the fuck could it be about Layne's drug addictions when it was written by Jerry Cantrell? | |

| this is obviously about a girl he cant stop thinking about. "Heartbreaker, feelin' alright" -definatly a girl, not drugs. "Honey I don't need you I just can't put you down" -again, NOT DRUGS not every alice in chains song is about drugs. they dealt with everyday problems aside from drugs just like all of us. | |

| This is one of my favorite alice in chains songs, but then again, I say that about almost every AIC song. Anyways, my favorite line is "Personality overview" because I have a habit of overviewing and analyzing my personality, and this song makes me think Layne and/or Jerry did the same. | |

| This song appears to be another about Layne's addictions. "I can see what the cost will be, you know I don't need you, I just can't put you down" - He knows it's destroying him, but he knows he doesn't need it but still doesn't have it in him to fully give up, na'am sayin'?! | |
