I think this song is played in drop-d on the album and when live,
but i think it adds a whole new dimension if you play it in standard!
The other problem i have found with the song is despite Terry Corso
being the only guitarist, a lot of the song has 2 guitar parts.
Anyway for anyone who wants to play it in dropped-d,
just tune your guitar down as usual, and play the d5 chords
an octave lower at the open position, as shown below
and transpose the rest of the song up a whole step:

| This song has mixed meaning to it. It seems to be geared towards a relationship, of course, but a twisted one. We all been in one of those relationships with someone who thought they weren't good enough. That's what I think this song is about. In the first verse it talks about how someone isn't what they think and how he will "show you Saturn" meaning show them great and interesting things. The chorus definately shows how someone is trying to put themselves down as a "mistake" and he's trying to boost them back up. The post bridge "you should try not to be so courageous, this dismal mood has become contagious" Is a cue for them to let him in, and that their depression is just spreading into him. It's trying to bolster their self-esteem. | |

| this song describes a situation i had once pretty well. I was workin with my job on a three week assignment in a town about four hours drive from my home town. While i was there i would go back home every day i had off to see my then-girlfriend. I "traveled far for this lover"....and then i found out "who she was, she was not". She dumped me afterwards. Alot of AAF's songs are about relationships.....I find it helps me feel better cause i've had alot of the same problems that he talks about. They're so underrated and their best songs aren't even getting played on the radio. | |

| Man, this song is so freakin' heavy for these guys! It's a shame they lost the metal sound in later albums. I listen to this song a lot. I think this is about being in a relationship of criticism. The first verse describes the length's he goes to show his love, but her reply is that "Planets don't quite align" - pointing out the imperfections in his efforts, even when he tries his hardest. The "courageous" part is calling on her to be more diplomatic, appreciative, and just to STFU once in a while. The next verse sees him realize his error, but conciling himself to put up with her. The "Alien's ain't farmers" part is a bit of an enigma (I always' thought it was "Alien's saying far out" !), but I think it means that for all the things he does for her, he is not going to work like her slave. Anyway, brilliant song. And monogroid is right - the best bands DON'T get enough credit, because the general public aren't looking for greatness, they're looking for what's hip, what's cool (few exceptions like Led Zep).
