| its like, he doesn't want to be anywhere near her for w/e reason and then like, he doesn't want her there, but then on the other hand he wants her everywhere. she prolly plays with his head and he gets mad but like he still loves her. bc when he is without her is totally miserable and realizes that without her forever he would be devistated. | |

| Maybe I'm stupid, but I always thought the song meant he had a son who died. That's what I pictured as soon as I heard it. I guess I took "Papa" and "Daddy" literally. I'm not even sure why I thought of a son rather than a daughter. I'm not a huge fan of aaf, so I wouldn't know whether he did ever have a child. But it never occured to me it could be about anything else. 1 | |

| I think this song is about relationships..just like a lot of the songs they write and sing. I think it is about that one person you wish would die, but you know if they really did you would be devisated. Kinda like a past lover or friend, that you hate to love. | |

| Great song, great video. As for a meaning, I think it's just a fairly straightforward love song. The music is great though. Easily one of their better songs. | |

| has anyone read the poem porphyrias lover? we had to read it in english but i think this song is quite similar to it. In the poem the guy is seeing this girl behind her partners back. He knows this and so he invites her over and kills her, not because he is angry, but because he can then have that happy moment when they are together forever. that's what i see it as..... | |

| well what i think is that the singer is in love with this girl, who was probably his girlfriend. she left him for another guy and i THINK they got into a car crash and they both died in the car! so the singer is happy about that | |

| I've never seen a song so well analyzed. But then again, someone may take it completely different. But I for the most part agree. | |

| i think this song is about a guy who's in love with his friend and she's in love with some jerk who leaves her for some other girl. so she kills herself and this guy has to live with it now. | |
