| Also during this bit... "Like hell, we are anxiously waiting Like hell burning silently strong Somehow we fell down by the wayside And somehow this hell is home" Does anybody know who is doing the vocals in the background, it's definately not Matt or Dan. Derek perhaps? Maybe I'm wrong | |

| I like this song lots. Bands experimenting and growing is a good thing, people. Y'wouldn't want them sticking in a rut. Am I the only one who thinks it's partly about or at least a metaphor for global warming, as well as the above..? | |

| Being alone and helpless and having to deal with problems all on your own. That's just my take on the song and it's one of my favorites on the new album. Ak3 are still a fantastic band. | |

| first off, yeah, this song is really poppy and over-produced, but it's damn good. no amount of protools can make you deny that. and not just the lyrics, the music, if not way too polished and studio made-up, is pretty cool and artistic. secondly, this song really reminds me of being an insomniac on a realy hot night, and feeling really hot and tired and sweaty and knowing there's no way you can get to sleep. i think it's about that on one level and on another it's about being stuck somewhere, whether in your situation in life or in a relationship, knowing that the whole thing is doomed to failure, not being able to stop it from dying, and, in the back of your mind, being happy that it's failing. this song is really, really cool. | |

| Everyone learns faster on fire - Fucking brilliant. I think that means when you're being rushed or when somethings fucked up and needs sorting, you'll learn from your mistakes alot quicker. | |

| This song is just painful to listen to. I mean come on, that first line sucks beyond the telling of it. If you can get past that you are pretty much ok up until the chorus, but let’s face it, that's not really that good either. As far as the meaning of it goes, it is basically saying that if you live your life, really live, you are ending up in Hell, and if you are one of those bible thumping Christians and you *think* that just by reading a book and praying for forgiveness every night you are going to end up in heaven, you’re wrong. And they kind of know it and they are therefore pretty much scared shitless all the time. IMO, the only redeeming thing about this song, is the meaning behind it. It sucks, you know, cause I love AK3, and when I heard this album the first time all I could think of is 'wow that is really boring'. Just like ilovealkaline said, it sounds just like every other band out there. This song in particular and 'Your Neck' stick out as the two really, really big let downs on a CD that can best be described as mediocre. | |

| This song is absolutely brilliant. One of my favorites, along with Sadie. Oh, and being a dirty back-stabbing pirate, I managed to get a copy of the album early... so if anybody is interested in hearing a bit, feel free to e-mail or IM me, and I would be happy to hook you up. However, I refuse to send to a lousy half-assed fan. You must love the Trio. You must earn the Trio. =P And before I get hammered with, "You're a disgrace to the band!" ..etc... I plan on purchasing the album on the day of release... and uh... I dunno, I'll sacrifice a virgin or something to make up for it. (-:O ~la | |

| this song kicks serious ass... the trio has never been afraid try new things... this song is proof of this... matt's songs, contrary to popular belief, has improved with each CD, Dan's also... this song is about people learning to deal with their problems. It's one of the best on the album | |

| I agree with similar philosophies on the song. You are forced to continue along, and also you learn more when you are being pushed with something. I love the way A3 makes everything so right. By that I mean, they just word every song perfectly. They are truly brilliant | |

| Please, please, please tell me this song is a joke. Lyrics are great, wonderful, a little dumbed down for alkaline but whatever... but what is this horrid sound when I play it? It sounds like Alk3 is trying to be trendy and failing... the chorus is decent, but getting there is muder. I really don't know what to think about Alkaline any more. | |

| We all grow up, and go through life, doing what we have to do, and eventually we're all going to die, no matter what we do, no matter who we are, and no matter what religion we believe. In our lives, shits going to happen, and we can learn from it quickly, or dwell on it and get stuck in a rut of self pitty and doubt, just waiting for life to get better and not actively doing anything to improve ourselves - in which case, no matter what we do and what we believe, our reality becomes hell and it doesn't matter at that point whether we live or die. | |
