I hate to say it, but since nobody mentioned it yet, the title is clearly a Ja Rule reference... and you're allowed to hate rap and still love the song. Anyway, awesome song. I was kinda put off by Good Mourning at first- I felt like it only had half the generally depressed pissed-off-ness of the previous stuff. But it's awesome that Dan's a happy camper now and he can still write great songs.

Such a sweet song. The contrasting title makes me laugh.

To me the blanket reference means that even though its cold out (bad times) then they can have fake warmth with their electric blanket?

Soft and warm...reminds you of "British Summertime" from Everything but the Girl. If you can open yourself to receive this kind of love, I guess it can be a beautiful thing. Just be able to see it when it comes...

i think it's a guy expressing himself before he has sex, the first line clearly says that, and maybe the second half of the song is afterwards, once he and the girl have had along term relationship. yeah, this is a really serious love song, what can we expect from a married man?

I like Song for Sunshine [Dan's version.] better. Especially when he says "Baby, kiss me in the snow." instead of "Kiss me once in the snow."

Yea, one of the only "super love songs" that I really like. I love Dan's voice, and I can't pick a better one...I just think Dan and Matt's compliment each other perfectly. Title rocks, song rocks, Dan rocks. And yea, I remember him saying that it's the first time in while that he and Matt have been feeling totally seperate emotions while writing an album.

Very good song. It's a love song, at least that's what I think. I thought it was obvious. I also thought it made a comment about it being just that on their website bio.

This song is beautiful, sweet, romantic...there are too many words to describe it. I love it so much, it makes me feel special and there is some hope that some guys out there are actually romantic and sweet. Would you not die to be the person this song is written for? I know i would..for sure!

This is one of my favorite Alkaline Trio songs. It's so sweet and it's defintley about his wife because I have a version of the first time he played it at a very mily christmas or whatever, and he said it was for his lady. Very cute, aw. But yeah, I love these lyrics they're so great when you can understand where he's coming from with them/ :D

go plug in your electric blanket? that confuses me and this song is kinda off the alk3 vibe. i dk its more radio friendly and the kind of thing my lil sister would put on her aim profile "from here i can hardly see a thing...,......for on and on and on" electric blanket? is that a sex thing?

this is my favorite song on good mourning...i'm really clueless as to what it means. i think it maybe even sounds like he's visiting someone's grave. needing to talk to them and never forgetting them.

I love this song because it is romantic because what he is saying is sweet and not cliche. It does not sound like the average love song. It sounds like love in everyday life. Something that is obtainable. As opposed to all those love songs that make love sound magical, like a fantasy and not reality. His love is real.

this song isnt about death at all.. its about where dan is in his life right now its a love song.. he is happily married and way happier than on past albums. as he said he is expressing his new found happiness while matt is "still just as evil" wow a sweet love song by alk3.. who knew?

I love this song...It's different to me compared to other Alkaline Trio songs. It's really sweet. I agree with SavesTheWeez about Matt and Dan's voices. They really do compliment each other... :)
