	this song is amazing. this cd is amazing. im so glad thy dont sound radically different, everytime they make a cd i get scared cause i love their sound and i dont want them to change. i just saw them at bamboozle, and they played this... tear .I used to long for a casket to call my own.

	i love the part of this song as it kicks into the chorus... oh mercy me.... dan is living in chicago again (with his wife), matt, as we all know, is from chicago, he moved to san fran circa '98 i believe it was, he recently moved from there and now actually lives in los angeles with Monica (the fiancee). as for derek i have no idea, he may still be in sf or in chicago, he could be anywhere. also the filling up the tank thing reminds me of many thngs... does anyone else get a ref to alcohol?

	I'm pretty sure that I think this song is about missing/needing something. And that once the thing he misses/needs is gone, he realizes how much he needs it. Because before he didn't pay much attention to it, or took advantage of it, or even wished for it to leave. And also I sense a little bit of something that skacore_dude said. I agree that he wants to get on with his life from something.
