Biography
Beat Farmers was a
band formed in
August
1983 that did a crossover of
alternative rock and
country music. They got their first record deal with
Rhino Records in
1984 and recorded Tales of the New West. The album included "Happy Boy" and was released in January
1985. The original members were together until the recording of Van Go, after which Buddy Blue left the band and was replaced by Joey Harris who had previously worked with Country Dick in the band
Country Dick and the Snuggle Bunnies. In
