Ok now there are 4 little measures to each line of the song if you havent noticed.
the second verse is EXACTLY the same as the first except the 4th measures so I will
just post the 4th measure to each line and just refer to verse 1 for the first 3 measures.
Verse 2:
4th measure
"1 line "2nd "3rd -------5--3----

| Leonni i totally agree with you. To me this song is about a girl who is truly in love with some guy and he cares for her. But isn't quite willing to jump into that strong of a relationship. They both know where they stand and I think in a way she's kinda falling away, Doesnt want to give up on him but at the same time knows that it will only hurt her more to stay. So she is saying... "Please can you tell me So I can finally see Where you go when you're gone" which to me is like hey you know how i feel i love you, tell me if you love me. if not good-bye. | |

| A young woman, untouched by heartbreak, becomes involved with a man who has become hardened against matters of love. So in self-preservation, she attempts to be like him, and remain emotionally unnattached, and becomes overwhelmed by how lonely and cold that makes her feel. So she begins to try and prove to him that not everyone is a player, intent on damaging him. And she wants him to trust her enough to let his guard down enough to see that she will do nothing but love him and adore him, his heart is safe from harm. She wants him to forger all his bitterness and skepticism where love is concerned. And determined than all get out, she vows to always be there for him no matter what. | |

| i kind of agree with punkstarr. the guy i'm with right now has serious problems with depression. i see how upset he is and i just want to "save him", to make him feel better. but when he gets upset he feels like he's being a burden to me, and he pulls away -- which actually ends up hurting me more. i want him to stop shutting me out, to let me into his world and help him. that's what this song reminds me of. (probably not what michelle branch was thinking, i think littlecrys was right on with that, but this is what the song means to me.) | |

| this song is awesome.. i totally feel like the girl in the song - she is frustrated b/c the guy she loves is falling for something that he thinks will make them happy, but ultimately will lead to loneliness. and while the rest of the world is cold and too busy to care, she wants to take him away from it all and show him that it doesnt have to be that way... in the video she is desparately screaming at him to see the things the way she sees them and the fact that its freeze frame and she is the only one moving is that she feels like he's not listening... i think that sometimes all we ever want is for someone to take the time to hold us and save us from all the shit that we have to deal with everyday. and its the people who take the time to "save us" and be there for us who hurt and feel helpless b/c no matter how hard they try to save us, it's really up to us if we let them... | |

| Excellent LittleCrys!!! What gets me the most is that she's saying she can be the one to save him, but in the same breath almost she's saying that she needs him to save her. It just seems like it's an relationship without emotional attachment. She craves it to be something more because she does genuinely love him, but to him it is more a matter perhaps of companionship. He wants someone who cares but maybe doesn't love him, while she needs someone who loves her. | |

| dodge i think your right, its like the relationship i'm in right now i love this girl so much and she still is attached to this other guy that she hasent been with for a year, and she just cant see that in this case all she wanted i can give to her and he cant, she feels so lonley inside and she looking for someone but the one she really needs is right in front of her, and she doesent know it. | |

| My favorite part of the song is when she says : I'm sinking slowly So hurry hold me Your hand is all I have to keep me hanging on She knows that this guy is the only person who she is meant to be with. The guy she is talking to is in a rocky relationship already or he has some other personal problems she and she is trying to make him see that she can help. Hence the: If you want to I can save you I can take you away from here I love this song and that is what it means to me. | |

| This is a tight song. In the video it seems as if she's trying to get the guy's attention. I'm not exactly sure what it's all about though. What's everyone elses' opinion? | |

| At first I thought this girl was just a Teenie Booper, but she is not. She writes her own stuff. At fisrt I really didnt like her and her music. Till I saw the video. The video is fucking wild! Its so bad ass. She is trying to tell him stuff in frozen time, that she can take him away from bad things and be with her. She cant tell him in real life. But it goes in freeze mod and she tells her feelings. I thought the viedo was fucking awesome! And the song! Im a fan! This song is tight, and she is not like other puppets like Spears, Nysync, thats what I like about this yound talent. She is hot too :D | |
