| I feel this way about my ex boyfriend. Everytime I try to talk to him and tell him how I feel he just ignores me, but then he will flirt with me. I relate to the second verse, And it's all so overrated In not saying how you feel So you and up watching chances fade And wondering what's real I think that she decided that she doesn't want to hide her feelings anymore, but the guy is afraid of that and is getting annoyed by her being so open with him. That why she says You say I've been driving you crazy And it's keeping you away I just use this song to help me calm down and to remind me that if I take a chance to sort out my own thoughts then I won't say things that I will regret. | |

| I guess the song is meant to be interpreted as a couple that have had a fight. but there were a couple lines that really made sparks go off in my head, it was cool. i'm starting to think that there might be something more between my best guy friend and i. i've liked him for a while, and now he's giving me the signs, but i have yet to talk to him about it because i'm scared of what might happen. i love where it goes "well it's all so overrated, in not saying you feel. so you end up watching chances fade, and wondering what's real" and my favorite line in the song is "i wonder if you realize, i've been waiting till i see it in your eyes" i think it's so beautiful. | |

| Yeah, you messed up the song, which makes me sad, cuz this is exactly how I felt when me and my ex boyfriend would get in a fight. heres the real lyrics: I've been driving for an hour, Just talking to the rain. You say I've been driving you crazy, And its keeping you away. So just give me one good reason, Tell me why I should stay. Cause I dont wanna waste another moment, In saying things we never meant to say. And I take it just a little bit, I, hold my breath and count to ten, I, I've been waiting for a chance to let you in. If I just breathe, Let it fill the space in between, I'll know everything is alright. Breathe, Every little piece of me, You'll see, Everything is alright. If I just breathe. Well it's all so overrated, In not saying how you feel. So you end up watching chances fade, And wondering what's real. And I give you just a little time, I, Wonder if you realize, I've been waiting till I see it in your eyes. If I just breathe, Let it fill the space between, I'll know everything is alright. Breathe, Every little piece of me, You'll see, Everything is alright. If I just breathe, Breathe. So I whisper in the dark, Hoping you hear me. Do you hear me? If I just breathe, Let it fill the space between, I'll know everything is alright. Breathe, Every little piece of me, You'll see, Everything is alright. Everything is alright if i just breathe... breathe. I've been driving for an hour, Just talking to the rain. I defiantly relate to this song soo much. When me and my ex would get into an argument, I wouldnt want to stay and talk to him anymore cuz I knew we would say things we didnt mean and we would regret it later. So I would just leave and sometimes go driving and talk to myself about everything that was going on. I knew if I just took some time to calm down everything would be alright. Such a great song. | |

| This song is great! I think its just about realizing that things arent so serious as you make them and you need to take the time to step back and let it pass. | |

| Wow, I'm surprised at how many people interpreted this as a "couples fighting" kind of song. I guess I missed that angle. Well, I thought that Breathe referred to unrequited love. When you love someone, and they have no idea how you feel, it's frustrating to the point that we forget to take our time and breathe. We want the other person to really see us, but we end up rushing into the situation and making mistakes. I think this song serves as a reminder to be patient when waiting for someone to reciprocate feelings. I always loved that Breathe is a hopeful, calming anthem for someone waiting for the One to wake up. | |

| I love this song, when I'm sad or anything, I blast it up really loud and sing. I can really connect with part of the first verse "You say I've been driving you crazy, And its keeping you away. So just give me one good reason, Tell me why I should stay. Cause I dont wanna waste another moment, In saying things we never meant to say." kind've how I feel right now. sldkfj. i love it. | |

| I honestly don't see this as much of a fight song, and much more as a forbidden (not so much unrequited) love. I feel like she loves this guy, and he obviously has feelings for her as well, but for some reason they cannot be together. But, as we all know, that doesn't stop the sparks from happening. A couple of different lines are pointing me away from the fight theory and towards this: I've been waiting for a chance to let you in - This suggests that they are not together, but she wants to be. (There are a couple other lines like this but I wont list them) saying things we never meant to say - This says to me that whatever sparks are flying between her and this guy, they aren't supposed to say it. It may be true and they may both feel it, but it's somehow forbidden and therefore not a good idea to admit by talking about it. This song says to me that she is trying so hard to either make this relationship work or make it stop, and having a rather difficult time of it. In the chorus, I do agree that she's kind of telling us how she's coping. But she isn't supposed to be with this guy for whatever reason, and is really wanting things to work out one way or another, but for now she's just stuck in limbo. | |
