Jeff Buckley ( November 17, 1966 – May 29, 1997), born Jeffrey Scott Buckley and raised as Scottie Jeffrey Moorhead, was an American singer-songwriter. Known for his beatific voice of at least 3.5 octaves, (recorded range is A2 to E♭6), Buckley was considered by critics to be one of the most promising artists of his generation after the release of his 1994 debut album Grace.
