Last Goodbye

the slide bit just goes from fret 2 to 5 to 12 to 7.

then finish on.......and move into this

G -----0--|---0------------ tabbed above.

on her soft eyes...")
D----------------------------------------------------------
B---8---7---5---7----5---7---8---10------- each chord here
G---9---7---6---7----5---7---9---11------- is pretty much -
D---0---0---0---0----0---0---0----0------- equal to one bar
G---9---7---6---7----5---7---9---11------- of music ---
D---0---0---0---0----X---0---0----0------------------------
then the tricky "what are they?" chords, then finish up on "o-o-o-over"
D----0----0----0----0--------------------------------------
B----7----7----0----5--------------------------------------
G----7----6----7----5--------------------------------------
D----0----0----0----0--------------------------------------

I agree with Rowley. The thing I love about Jeff Buckley is his songs are so beautiful. I mean, the beginning can start out mellow and he extends into this intense bit where he'll use all his vocal power to make the lyrics more powerful and his voice is so amazing that you don't even barely recognize the music which is also beautiful but ugh... i can't say enough good things about this man.

I got to hear this song becuz i love the Vanilla Sky soundtrack, and i had no idea who jeff buckley was or that he died, i only know what u guys have posted here, but this song is truly beautiful...."i know that in time i'll only make you cry since our last goodbye" is just so great, and so true at times, that im thankful that jeff, whoever he was, wrote this song, cuz to me it means alot...."kiss me please kiss me, kiss me out of desire babe and not consolation".....wow

When Jeff lived in LA he had an relationship with an older german woman, this song is about that break up. But as anyone that ever have experienced heartache will testify, it is poetry that many of us can relate to, but none of us is capable of writing. I find "Forget her" even more touching due to my own personal failures.

I first listened to this song when my girlfriend at the time told me she'd cheated on me. All the words were just perfect for describing how I felt, awesome song, but always makes me damn near cry whenever I hear it

this song is so beautiful and full of emotion. jeff buckley was such a great lyricist. i can only imagine all the great songs he had left in him when he tragically died so young. sigh.
