| This ong is a hidden gem. I believe the song reflects Clapton's feelings at the time - bearing in mind he was half way through getting over his addictions of drugs and alcohol (to follow). I believe he was trying to become settled in life (grow up) and have children. | |

| I think it has to deal with the main character from the Cream/Robert Johnson song "Crossroads" where he wonders if his talent is gonna grow better. Just my opinion. | |
