| I LOVE this song - but especially the acoustic version that Eric does on his "Unplugged" album. Whenever it plays, I have to keep repeating it about 5 or 6 times before I let the CD go to the next song. I do the same when it comes on my iPod. The song is really sad, though, and reminds me now of my ex, who I love still, but he had his own "old love," and I guess he is now back with her. Hurts, but the song is still just amazing. If you don't have Eric Clapton's "Unplugged" CD or the whole thing through iTunes (I assume iTunes has it), get it!! 1 | |

| This song was covered by John Mayer on 5 March 2002. It's a great version if you can track it down... | |

| This is about loving someone so much that after the relationship is over, thoughts of this person overload the brain and you are left wishing you could just get over him/her and stop thinking about them.. but its not that easy because you used to be so close that they will remain part of u forever. | |

| this may be one of the most clear cut examples that few people listen to good music this day and age. for goodness sake...old love! if you go check out good charlottle or green day you'll probably see a million comments on a million different songs, yet "old love" by eric clapton, now, has 4. | |
