	This song is not about being "un-independent". It's about breaking away from being, for a lack of better words, a rock. For a long time she lived with a guarded heart and gave nobody a chance, but then she realized that she didn't want to be that way anymore. She wanted to experience love, she wanted to be happy. You can still be independent while in love, but you have to learn to trust and rely on someone, too. It's the kind of song we should pay attention to, being that we're all about guarded hearts and dark pasts these days.

	I do not know about you, but I am 20 and PROUD to play with silly string! Oh, and yes, this song is rather catchy. I hate to admit it, but I kind of like it. She can definitely sing. I did not know until reading these that Christina Aguilera was even considering singing this song. I do not think I would believe her if she sang it. It would just seem like she was saying what should be said to reach the crowd. Somehow Kelly Clarkson makes it feel more real.

	The meaning of the song is that some self-centered stuck up snob that made everyone believe she was like, miss anything and everything, and was making it great on her own, fell in love and now she looks like an idiot. That's my view. Personally, I hate the song. Very annoying. I'd rather hear Since You've Been Gone or Breakaway. Only songs I like by her.

	I didn't really like this song as I listened to it the first time, but I got the chorus stuck in my head for the rest of the day. It has a definite beat and Kelly has an amazing voice. This song is just catchy and now I listen to it all the time!

	I think Ms.Aguilera should have kept this song for herself because Kelly doesn't work it as much as Christina would have. I own Kelly's album, it's pretty decent, but I don't think she did much for this song. Have you heard her sing it live? It's not the best, but it's not the worst. I like the song though. :)

	i do believe she says distanCE.....just to clear that up. This is one of her earlier songs so give her a break people! she didnt write it! im sure if you were offered a song by miss Aguilera you wouldnt turn it down...unless you are COMPLETELY INSANE....cough....either way its still a good song...kelly just sings it better than Aguilera would anyways :D
