| This is such a great song, i still remember when i first heard it when i was four years old and then wanted to give money to some street people in Toronto. Not only is the song about homeless people wanting a better life, but also about how so many people won't help them. | |

| call me crazy but i see it compleatly different. the way i interpret the song is that by us not doing a good deed we are risking another day in paradise.. another day in heaven.. like if all the deeds that we do, or dont do seal our fate.. for example Oh think twice, it\'s another day for You and me in paradise that you better think about your actions before you go ahead and do it, because are u ready to risk 'your ticket to heaven?' well thats just me.. tell me what you think about my viewpoint.. | |

| Great song makes people think....most likeley the reason for the song. It is sad but sometimes that’s what it takes for people to realize what they have and to be thankful. | |

Ben Rhythm Player |

| This song is less about the unfortunate and more about society. As a society, espically here in America, we live in our own little paradises and ignore the real problems. The real problems are not your kid not getting the playstation 2 they wanted, the real problems are hunger in third world countries. Refugees who have no place to go and no one that is really willing to help them. This song is about how we neglect our fellow man for our own materalistic wants and desires. There are men, woman, and children who wake up everyday in a pile of their own filth and drink from cantaminated rivers. But those same people thank God that their alive and that their not dead. Another thing I think it brings attention to is our unwillingness to help those in need. In minnesota (though I understand why) the public is complaining about brining hmong refugees over from camps in thialand. Why? don't those people deserve to live the exact American dream we live? anyway, I'll shut up know. | |

| To me the song reminds us that there are those who are less fortunate than us. Whether its that homeless man across town or the poor people living in 3rd world countries. For us, clothing, food or a warm place to sleep at night seems like nothing out of the ordinary. This song is telling us to remember how lucky we are and not to turn a blind eye on those who dont' get to live in "paradise." | |

| It's pretty self-explanatory, really. That's probably why there hasn't been many shots at interpretation. It's not the homeless dream of paradise... it's that we're in paradise by comparison. | |
