Her is the only Alice Cooper I know. I would like to learn
"You and ME" ( there is another hit love song but someone
stole my tape and I can't remember the name of it )
"Welcome to my nightmare" or "Black Widow".
I had trouble transcribing this. If you are having trouble
playing it, e-mail me and I will try harder. Also, I've
tried to download Chord.pro twice and can't get it to run
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ??

V1. Man got his woman to take his seed
He got the power, oh she got the need
She spends her life through, pleasin up her man
feeds him dinner or, anything she can
She cries alone at night too often
He smokes and drinks and don't come home at all
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women Bleeeeed
Man makes your hair grey, he's your life's mistake
all your really lookin' for's an even break
He lies right at you, you know you hate this game
Slaps you once 'n' a while and you live and love in pain
She cries alone at night too often
He smokes and drinks and don't come home at all
Only women bleed
Only women bleed
Only women bleeeed
Bridge
Black eyes All of the time
don't spend a dime clean up the grime
and you there down on your knees
beggin' me please to come watch me bleed
Only women bleed { to fade }

| its not about his father abusing his mother when he was a child. (His father was a priest if that has anything to do with it). On an interview he said it was only so that he could have something on welcome to my nightmare that contrasts with all the other songs. he was told he couldnt have an entire album about nightmare, so he wrote this 'ballad'. Anyway.... I love the end of this song.... | |

| I think this song is about how alice cooper feels he has threated his girlfriends. He feels like scum compared to her and only a woman would threat him this way through rough and tuff times. Hard to explain but the song isnt about domestic abuse or direct physical abuse towards women. | |

| Well- this is a song that kind of gives us a glimpse of abuse towards women. It kind of gives us a little wimpy version (part 1 if you will) of Never Again by Nickelback! It's a good song, but if you really want a song that steps up and discusses spousal abuse- listen to Never Again- it's in your face KICK ASS- | |

| I think it has to do with his dad abusing his mother when he was young. Welcome to My Nightmare every song seems to have leaning towards his childhood | |

| Beautiful song. Classic white trash American song. Slash played this instrumentally and Axl used to sing the first few lines of the 3rd verse as an intro to Knockin' On Heaven's Door live in concert. Alice rocks. | |

| As paulothemanio rightly points out, this song is not about a woman's period, however, using the phrase "only women bleed" helps develop the idea that women are fragile. The metaphor could even extend to include a girl losing her virginity. These connotations reinforce the main idea of the song (domestic abuse) and evokes empathy from the listener by showing the pain and suffering that a woman faces in life. Truely a great song from a great album, so unstereotypically Alice Cooper that it is attributed to his covers. | |
