| So this song is about her relationship with Eric Clapton - weird, huh? Atleast that's what I've heard. She wrote it after they broke up. I think that everyone in their life has a favorite mistake, I know I do. We had an amazing time together, but in the end I knew that it was all a mistake. We had a wonderful time together, and I think that I was actually in love with him at the time...but it's all gone now - I guess I miss him. *sigh* I haven't had a decent relationship since then. I'm so pathetic | |

| I love this song. Loved it when it first came out && I love it now! I think its pretty self explanitory, she was in love with someone && then one day she realizes that the way he has been acting is because her significant other has lost feelings for her, and yet he is her favorite mistake. I think that my ex prolly would say this to me, because I was the one who broke it off, and we had a good thing while it lasted but he just needed to grow the hell up...and i changed my mind basically overnight because I realized taht he was a jerk. But he'd prolly say that to me cus I was his "favorite mistake" lol Ohh well i moved on && happy w/ my life now | |

| I have one favorite mistake but just recently she's turned into a real bitch. Not to me but to others. After telling other people what I thought they all said "didn't you know?" I just never saw the selfish and jealous side of her personality until we stopped dating and I stopped liking her. It's a shame because I have a few great memories of her and now they're tainted by her actions of the past few weeks. I try to remember the good times and how I felt and I know that it was a mistake, but of all the mistakes I've made, she's my favourite. | |
