| The best Eagle Eye Cherry song out. For sure. All about saving tonight...enjoying the last of the time you may have with a special someone. You know you have to leave them...but you don't want to...so you "Save Tonight" and "Fight the break of dawn" to spend every last possible moment with him/her. thats the way I interpret this song. Major props to Eagle Eye Cherry on this one. 1 2 3 Next | |

| When I first heard this song I was sort of dating a guy off 'n on (he was gone a lot with his work) & I thought the lyrics were perfect for us. The times we were together were really special; but even then I knew it would not last. That is what it means to me. BTW, joekeith, this song is not about jesus; it's about hot passionate SEX; plain & simple. | |

| I think the song can totally relate to Jesus. I had never thought about it before but it makes perfect sense when you think about it. | |

| i just need to make one comment - good for you being religious, it's a free country and you can interpret music anyway you want but every song IS NOT ABOUT GOD OR CHRIST that's what we have Christian Music for. I just want you people to know that As for my own personal interp (which will not include a guest appearence by jesus christ) i see it as people in a relationship and one has to leave (kind of like a military thing, but i'm getting rather tired of seeing THAT all over the place too) and they're spending one last night together before the other has to leave. | |

| this song is really great. it's about knowing that a real relationship cannot work out, but deciding that having one good night is better than nothing. it's about losing yourself in someone for a short time. | |

| I heard this song a long time ago, when I think I was really focusing on finding myself. Music has always been something I can lean on, and I love joekeith's idea of it. Christ is amazing, whether that's the focus of the song or not. Awesome interpretation. God, if only I could save tonight. | |
