LYRICS:

I've got a day and a reason
Why I should not believe in..anything, anymore
What's this for?
My time well spent
I've got all these memories that I cannot believe in
Cause I don't know where I've been all these years
All these years

And do you know this reason
I hope that you can see it cause I will not give up
And we all know what you've done again
I can see right through you
You're making your way over again..again

Two days after leaving and I don't have a reason to keep you from being here
I don't steer these thoughts away
I know that you know this but I could never get you to believe all my fears
Is this your clear?
I think so

And do you know this reason
I hope that you can see it cause I will not give up
and we all know what you've done again
I can see right through you
You're making your way over again..again..again..and again

And do you know this reason?
I hope that you can see it cause I will not give up
And we all know what you've done again
I can see right through you
You're making your way over again..again..again

And do you know this reason?
I hope that you can see it.
Cause I will not give up and we all know what you've done again
I can see right through you
You're making your way over again...

"Two days after leaving and I don't have a reason to keep you from being here" who else thinks that this part means he cannot keep her from being in his heart!?

I think he's trying to say that someone that he's known/been with for a really long time has hurt him (most likely cheating) and he left them, but he misses her, and is almost regretting it. The chorus sort of says that he can see that she's trying to get him back, and that he's considering both sides.... great song, great band. TEN kick ass. [clare]

i think this song is underrated. ace does a wonderful job singing in this one. its one that can be played on repeat and not get old, it dominates.

I think Ace is trying to use the same formula from Sunday Drive, and it doesn't work as well. I mean Dinner..is a good song, but doesn't compare to other acoustic songs by ace.

"Two days after leaving and I don't have a reason to keep you from being here" It doesn't mean he can't keep her from being in his heart, it means they broke up, and before she left she asked if he could think of any reason for her to stay, and even though he wants her there more than anything, he has no reason to keep her there.

I loveee this song, but then again, I love all Early November songs... but there's something about this song that gets me, there's something very real and honest about it and just makes a lot of sense. Plus it's just a good song!
