| i really love this song, and ive got the meaning down to the bone in my opinion Early in the morning, wake up to a bright blue sky lightning comes at any time to break it down and make it ugly i know that it's just for me 'cause no one else can feel or understand that's alright because i can handle all that you throw down ----------> here he's basically saying that maybe you wake up to a great day thinking its gunna be great, but then something bad may get in the wya (lightning) basically this being the girl, but the guy's saying it doesnt matter because i can handle whatever you throw at me because he wants to be with her so much he couldnt care about the shit she gives him its all about the icing bit, hes basically saying that its all abou the looks, and whats on the outside, not what the person is like, and people usually see someone beautiful and think wow they must be amazing, when thats not really the case very often. and he's saying he knows she thinks like this, but he doesnt care because he can see through her skin and see the good in her. and the chorus is basically a well wish for the girl saying since she cares so much for look's etc, he's saying well since theres no chance with me, i hope you find your perfect place where your happy, but theres a hint of sarcasm with the "its all that matters, pretty pretty" and the last part, is showing that the guy doesnt care no more, he's tried his hardest and he doesnt want to try no more, and the girl's giving excuses for how she's been acting, but of course excuses are only reaons for stupid actions that you might regret etc, and the guys saying that he knows he might not have much to offer at all, so he's saying okay give me a second and i'll try my hardest to be someone else, because you cant love me for who i am. thats just my opinion anyway | |

| This is a such an amazing song. Ace is such a talented writer and musician. It looks alot like most of this song has been covered but i thought i would add my thoughts anyways. This song reminds me of most of the people in the world, people who only judge people from the outside and don't take the time to see who you actually are as a person. This song reminds me that when something isnt going your way like if a girl leaves you or a girl doesnt want to give you a chance, you need to fight for her wit heverything you have and show her that you truely care about her and that you need her. Sometime though, it gets to a point where you need to just let go and move on with your life and be happy becuase you only have a short time to live this life and there just isnt enough time to be wieghed down by things like that. ha this is something that I am still having trouble learning. So that is basically some of the random thoughts I have about this song. | |
