| Holy sweet shit Chris the lead singer sounds like the not so one and only voice of Maynard of Tool. Tool is the best band of all time and shall rule all forever. Earshot is good but not similar to Tool. Even the voice differs from Maynards in some songs. it really only sounds alike in "Get Away". Oh ya instrument wise/riffs, Earshot is nothing simply because Danny Carrey is a God and Adam fukcs you wit his guitar. They do kick ass and although they are not as origional as Tool because their lyrics are not exactly based around anal fisting and occult , but Earshot is definitly better than the rest of the shit bag rock bands out there!! | |

| The lead singer of Earshot (Wil Martin) may sounds like Maynard, but music and lyric wise i don't think they sound like Tool at all. | |

| i'm not trying to bag on earshot or anything, i like the song and all, but they don't really have a very original sound. when i first heard this song, i thought it was tool. there's nothing wrong with it of course, but call it what it is: good, but unoriginal music. | |

| look, either way, they're not original... alright? you're saying you don't find them similar to tool... fine. but i don't think you could reasonably argue that earshot is original. that was my point. | |

| Good song, i love it, this band is pretty cool. The meaning is pretty simple. He liked someone alot (yes you meant the world to me) but in the end he has to break it off with her maybe due to some of the things shes said in the past (i cant believe the things you say, so wrong for how i feel this way) this parts awsome: One time too many You've let me down Won't think what could be Can' feel much now | |

| i've never heard a vocalist who sounded so much like maynard. i'm glad i'm not the only one. this either means that i'm not crazy, or that people are not stupid. 1 | |

| Unique sound, I was impressed upon first hearing it. He ends the song in a strong manner... in such a way you have to listen to the song again and again just to get the feeling over and over. Earshot may be building something of a huge fanbase here soon. | |

| I agree with Angl. The lead singer sounds a tiny bit like Maynard, but...thats all. Obviously all of you saying they sound like Tool dont know Tool's music very well. Tool is my absolute favorite band, and id like to think i know quite well how they sound, and Earshot doesnt really sound like them. Just the singer. And thats something they really cant help. | |

| Original in what sense? Tool's musical composition (6/4 and 7/8 times) are quite different from not just earshot, but from many other artists. Plus, their sound is highly polished (in a good way), coherent and difinitive. Earshot definitely sticks more to the typical music structure of contemporary rock music (intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge/interlude, extended chorus) while Tool is on a whole other world. I'm a big fan of both bands, but I know very well that they aren't all that similar. Try to look at it from a musical perscpective (orchestration, composition, arragement, lyrical) rather than comparing vaguely similar vocal styles and guitar riffs/equalization/distortion (that is, if you are a musician YOURSELF). | |
