everyone needs to find someone who cares
but i don't know if you know what i mean
'cause i'm never on your list

and it feels like i'm gonna crack
everyone needs to be somebody
everyone needs to find someone who cares

| In my (influenced-by-somewhere-but-I-can't-remember-where) opinion. It's aims against the popular people: the ones who are opposite to the freaks glorified in other songs on the album (like Beautiful Freak and My Beloved Monster). E takes the role of one of the freaks. He has no walkie talkie because he is not one of the Beautiful people (only the Beautiful people can have connection to God and have a good life) Oh... and notice Beautiful Freak/Beautiful People... | |

| Sorry to contradict you MercuryCobain, but walkie-talkies are carried by bouncers, who have lists of who gets in, not by the beautiful people. The speaking character would like to have another kind of walkie-talkie. 1 | |

| In my opinion i reckon this songs about elitism and the struggle to stay fashionable or "cool" | |

| "I wish I had my own walkie talkie that reached to god every night" has got to be one of my all-time favorite eels lyrics. Definately one of my absolute top three fav songs. | |
