i think it's pretty much saying that life's a bit quiet and boring at the moment but they should be happy cos if it gets worse they'll think of them as the good old days.

"These could be the good old days" that's strinking how with just a phrase it is summing up all that there is to say about the fact that all we have is now. one positive E makes dam great songs too :) 1
