May it Be is such a beautiful song. The lyrics are touching. It gives me a sense of peace and comfort within myself. The lyrics gives the listener to hang in there and be strong in a situation where things aren't going right, but you still must go on and believe that things will be better later on. This song also gives you a feel that things will be alright once the dark shadows goes away and the light returns with a feeling of gladness that was once covered by darkness. That's all i have to say.

I love this song. I can listen to it all day long and not get tired of it. It's just one of those songs that you can't get out of your head. Enya has a wonderful voice and I'm glad she's the one that sung this.

The first time that I heard this song I cried so hard... it's so beautiful, and the meaning is clear and true. It can be about so many things, but the way I interpreted it was about being a Christian and how hard it can be. Christians truly do walk a lonely road, and alot of times you can crack under the pressure of this world. But if you just hold on, "you may rise to find the sun," which to me means Jesus. I think that Tolkien would have loved this song, with him being a Christian and all.

Enya has always been one of my favourites, even when she was in Clannad. It's a beautiful and touching song. I listen to it when I feel like I can't go on anymore and live isn't worth living. Sometimes life isn't about yourself, it's about others and sacrifice and waiting for the 'up's after the downs'.

When I first heard this song I was sitting w. my girlfriend in her car after a very tyring day at about 8PM in December, and we were french kissing in the dark on a quiet road not far from our house. During this I thoguht this May Be the nicest song I ever heard. So slow, nice, and clear voice.. Enya is a prodigy, anyway. I was absolutely relaxed while hearing this song.. it must haver done something to my nerves, after this I felt like re-born, with peaceful thoughts, and in this moment I wanted to hug the whole world. It was a sad, but wonderful evening..

BritneySpears Sucks: First of all let me tell you I'm very impressed at your choice of music at 12 years old. As a fantasy artist like yourself, I seriously recommend you watch lord of the rings, and read if you have not done so. The latter being most important. With only a few slight exceptions, the movie is not the trash a lot of people say it is. For the most part it is well done. The book however is pure gold. It is sophisticated, imaginative and genius. It also spawned a lot of the fantasy genre as we know today, and is still unrivalled in its greatness. As a artist of this genre, you must be aware of Allen Lee. His pictures are almost entirely based on Lord Of The Rings. 1 2 Next

This song reminds me of hard times and never giving up and looking for hope. And also discusses personal sacrifice for the better of people around you. Which makes it perfect for Lord of the Rings. Since LOTR is based off dark times and looking towards hope. This song makes me emotional. The video can almost make you cry.

Well spoken Evening-Star! I too feel that pressure. Though, since this song was written for LOTR, and makes reference to "Evening Star" which is an elvish artifact/item in the movie which Frodo has with him. The song is about Frodo's journey, and that its a "lonely road" because he soley bears the burden of the ring. The song seems to be written to Frodo whom when "darkness falls" and things go bad, and that his "heart be true" to persist under the evil influence of the ring. May he "journey on", even though he's "far away from home" (The Shire to Mordor). May he "journey on to light the day" to destroy the ring and bring peace to middle earth.

This song is awesome. It's message of hope makes it a song that can lift you up when you're feeling down and even without the words the melody could do a pretty good job of that.
