| As some one has already said, its not "say" its: "If you see mother, tell her I can sing" It makes sense, so if anyone is going to post revisions to the already posted lyrics, then make sure you have that in there. Thanks. | |

| ashin, your a fag. i know wat this song is about. Its straight forward. As you said, his mom ditched him. Since she ditched him, she would have no idea that he could sing. So hes telling his brother that if he sees his mom to tell her that. Mom's dig shit like that, and i can guarentee his mom feels like shit. If its say, fine, don't say i can't interpret a fucking song when i just gave ThankYouForTheScars an explaination on how/why this is a good song. 1 2 3 Next | |

| This is a correction of namdeebs lyrics :] Mother, where are you today? You took a piece of me the day you went away No recollection or the smell of your perfume I took a piece of you the day I left the womb Brother, put your needles down The best thing for you is to leave this aweful town Pretty soon, you'll have kids to feed If you see mother, tell her I can say Please don't worry, I am doing fine You're much too busy to even find the time So use your chemicals and take this to your grave The boys you loved are men you didn't raise And Daddy, how are you today? You must be proud of the boys you have raised Your withered heart and everything it's seen Your constant calices you had kids to feed Please don't worry, I am doing fine You're much too busy to even find the time So use your chemicals and take this to your grave The boys you loved are men you didn't raise | |

| well so you know guys... ETF falls into the EMO/Hardcore/Screamo catagories. so yes ETF is emo. being an emo band isnt how its sung its the lyrics behind the music, and in this case ETF is emo. all their songs are. its all about ronnies life and how his mother left him and his brother and dad. so... if im wrong, which im not, tell me so i can make fun of you please. | |

| ***I Hate triple posters*** Anyway, I've been listening to the song and this is what I got from it. His mother left him when he was too young to remember her. Probably was a drug addict or seller, etc "No recollection or smell of your perfume" and "So use your chemicals and take this to your grave" support that. His brother was a drug addict as well, "Put your needles down" and was highly affected by being trapped in his hell of a town, "The best thing for you is to leave this awful town" His father was the only person who was there for him, "You must be proud of the boys that you have raised...Your cuts and callesus..." meaning that his father was overworked with the duty of having two kids to take care of. Finally, the song is a letter to his family telling him that he is finally okay. Which is pretty obvious. Good song. | |

| i think his vocals suit acoustic very well. This the emo song on the album. His voice is "whiney" which in most emo songs goes well with acoustic. You really feel the emotion when he sings. Powerful song. (BTW, i'm no where near calling ETF emo, i'm just saying that every band has a song on their album that is "emo," and this is it.) | |
