I think it's about a guy and a gurl who have been best friends. The gurl begins to grow closer to him, but he pushes her away. He doesn't relise their love together and how much he means to her. She feels lost without him. She longs only for them together. She also feels maybe no ones loved her before. Only my theory probably wrong. Well anyways this is one of my favorites. It's so beautiful. Bye-

I love this song because it is basically how I feel. I really like this guy, but can't tell him. Then, one day, I find out that he is going out with a close friend. "Who now is left all alone but me?" Also, I seem to be the only person without a boyfriend and miserable about it. This is my anthem.

I love this song because i relate to it so much. It was actually the first song ever written by Amy and it was when she had a '' crush '' on Ben. I know how you feel toixangel_moon. I hope that things turn out alright for you :)

I agree mainly with sally cinnamon with one small difference. I think that she is in love with her friend and is his "secret admirer". Her friend goes on and on about how much he loves this secret admirer and how special and extraordinary she must be. This hurts Amy because she isn't all that extraordinary, she's just her. When she says: "Can't you see all along it was me? How can you be so blind as to see right through me? " She's clueless as to how he doesn't notice that it's her. She stays silent though because she's afraid of rejection. She asks "How long will it take before I see?" she's saying that somewhere in her heart she knows he doesn't love her but she keeps pretending because she still hopes that he might begin to love her. I dunno...That's just what I've thought it meant. It's a gorgeous song anyway and Amy really does sound heartbroken when she sings it.

There's this TV show called Inuyasha that's on adult swim (Cartoon Network). If you've seen it, you basicly know where i'm going with this. This song reminds me of the relationship between two of the characters in the show (Kagome and Inuyasha). Almost donw to the dot of the 'i'. One of my freidns even said it was like Amy had seen the show and wrote a song on it. Either way, I like this song, it's a really good song.

I think this song is about someone she’s close to, but who doesn’t know that she loves them. Most likely a male friend “how many times have you told me you love her? as many times as i've wanted to tell you the truth.” He tells her how he loves this other girl and she just keeps on pretending that she him only as a friend. This ties in with ‘my immortal’ about loving a friend, but never admitting it that friend dies leaving you regretful. The reason it’s called solitude seems to be because: oooh, solitude...still with me is only you oooh, solitude...i can't stay away from you oooh, solitude...forever me, forever you oooh, solitude...only you, only true basically, if she can’t be with him, she doesn’t want to be with anyone else, so she’s going to live a life alone. That part where she says that everyone leaves her appears to me to be a general dig at everyone else about how lonely she feels I like that line "i love through you, you look through me" best as well... just loving someone so much, but they don't realise how you feel.

Unfortunately, I can really relate to this song. Anyway, basically, she's in love with this guy, and has sent him anonymous letters or something along those lines, but he doesn't know that it's her ("How many times have you told me you love her? As many times as I wanted to tell you the truth."), and she doesn't have the courage to tell him. As a result, she is miserable and unhappy about the whole deal.

It's about being in love with someone who doesn't know it and just sees you as a friend and thinks that you only see them as a friend, too. And although on the outside you pretend you're fine and joke around and listen to them telling you about their other half like you're really happy, you're actually dying on the inside.Because there is no worse pain that loving someone and not being able to tell them how you feel.I can relate to this song 'cos I met this guy a few years ago and we got really friendly and I had to listen to him talking about his girlfriend when all I wanted to do was confess that I was in love with him. That's all dead now,but it still pains me to think about how it felt. And the lyric:"How can you be so blind?"So simple,so painful.I'm a real self-pity wallower,I know...but what can we do?
