| Beautifully haunting and easily my favorite song on the whole album. Amy Lee's vocals rock on every track, but they move me to tears on this song every time I hear it. When it crescendos to "i've been alone all along" something wells deep within my chest...ahhh! soooooo enchanting and so sad. It's a painful remembrance of a loved one lost. Makes me want to cherish everybody I have now so I'll never feel so painfully alone... | |

| Did Amy write these lyrics about a child of hers that died,or a brother or something? This sounds more like a lamentation than a break-up song, though the lyrics can be interpreted as both. And the conviction at which she sings it makes me think it's about someone close to her. As far as I am concerned,Amy Lee has the best vocals in the history of recorded music! No one, save MAYBE Enya or Charolette Church, are even in her league. On top of that, she's got a Rose McGowen kinda very lovely kind of gothic beauty to her. Simply amazing group, and the love between Lee and Moody is cool too,are they lovers? Are they ex lovers that are still close friends, like Meg and Jack White? | |
