| My favorite Eve 6 song. I think what the narrator is trying to say is that he needs to break up with this girl, but he thinks about the things he will miss about her. | |

| this song is the definition of anthemic. i love the part where the distorted guitar comes in first while max sings "wanna be with you tonight" he realizes hes finally got to say goodbye to the girl that he has loved so much, even though its hard its the right thing to do. | |

| I actually had the most nightmarish dream about 2 nights ago that really connects with the lyrics of the song. and the whole background has to do with a conversation I had with my girlfreind the other night when we were at outbacks. I had asked her this question, since we were on the subject, "how would you feel or what would you feel, if I had told you that I found out that I had a cancer and at time of diagnosis I had only a day to live, but I didnt tell my parents or anyone. I only told you, and I wanted to spend that last night with you, and in the morning I would be gone?" and she replied that she would truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thats what I think this song is about. A couple so deep in love, the guy finding out he's going to die and he wishes he could do something to change that, and even thoughhe knows it isnt right, he wants to spend his last night with her, because she means so much to him. He wants her to not be sad when he goes away, and he wants her to continue to live her life, and even thought it wont be easy, he wants to be remembered as her love, but more importantly and above all else, he wants to be remembered as her best friend. | |

| I almost agree with moon.. I think it's about him breaking up with her, because he drinks and she has a drinking problem that she's trying to fix. "Wanna keep you from sinkin wanna keep you from drinkin sometimes Wanna keep you from keepin you down" he wants to help her.. "Ringing in my head All the things you've said All the things you've done I wish I could compromise but theres only one way to go and im goin alone" he knows she has a problem with drinking, but doesn't think he can be around her while she's trying to get over her problem.. he drinks.. "your self-help book shelf is full now your pictures are about to be pulled down without regard for a broken heart its another year " she's trying to fix her drinking problem the rest of the song, to me, seems like he's going to miss her mostly for the sex.. "Miss the way that you shock-shock-shock me follow me to my house and then you rock-rock-rock me wanna see your eyes wide not so shut completely cool dont stop keep up" rock-rock-rock me = sex.. "livin in the city, cuz your dyin if you dont got a grip take a sip from my monoton monk wanna keep you from keepin you down pick yourself up off the ground " he's unwilling to stop drinking to be with her, but he wants her to help herself, so he's leaving. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, just what I got out of it. | |

| Oh yeah, definitely the best song on the album; I like how it builds up in volume and tempo. As for meaning - about a guy who broke up with a girl who has some emotional problems (maybe a drinking problem), and knows it was the right thing to do, but still misses her. That's my take on it. Fitting name for the last song on Eve 6's last CD too... "Arch Drive Goodbye" - they played their last goodbye show under the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. So sad, I've always thought of this band as kind of the gold standard for all rock/punk-pop bands, a genre that I'm not usually that in to, but they just do it so WELL! Goodbye Eve 6, you'll be missed. | |

| this is a wonderful song. i think its about a guy and he loves this girl, but he's come to terms with the fact that he's not the best boyfriend for her ("wanna keep you from keepin you down") so now he's breaking up with her because he knows its whats best and he has completely accepted that | |

| I agree that it's the best song on the CD, but I feel like this is more than a breakup song...it's almost like he's saying "sucks to be you" to the girl even though he's left alone. | |

| This song is about a really close relationship that has grown distant. It's really hard for the girl to move on, and the guy misses her, and wants to help her because she's in self deprecation. He says it's not right to be with her tonight because they should be moving on, but instead they're prolonging their situation. 1 | |

| i also agree its the best song on the new cd. i think he broke up with her because of her habits and her addictions (drinking im going to assume) but even after breaking up with her he loves her and cant help but miss her but he knows that he cant be with her anymore | |
