This time through both guitars play the same thing that only Guitar 1 played the

*** Main Riff *** This 4 measure riff repeats through both verses. The only thing that
changes
is the way it ends (the fourth measure will be different in certain places).

Verse 1 ends with a B5. Strum it with the two bottom strings open (this actually makes
it a Bsus4).
Guitar 1 plays the Bsus 4 that ends verse 1. But then Guitar 2 plays the Bsus4 that comes
after
the next measure (This is where Guitar 2 enters).

Guitar 1 (Chorus)
=================
In the Chorus Guitar 1 plays basically the same chords as Guitar 2 but they are strummed
with the shown pattern. They are also arpeggiated in some places. I know this is not
perfectly correct because the open notes and things made it difficult to figure out
but i know most of it is extremely close.
This progression is repeated through the entire chorus.
This Bsus4 on the last measure
i'm particularly trouble by.
It may be a D.

Guitar 2 (Chorus)
=================
Guitar 2 is still playing the same chord shapes but the guitar's sound is changed for
the chorus.

Guitar 2 now plays a chord every measure instead of every other measure.
Play all of these with the bottom strings ringing open.

Guitar 2 (Bridge)
=================
This one has me stumped. It sounds a lot like Guitar 2 just strums a single chord to the
same rhythm
that Guitar 1 uses for walking up the scale, but Guitar 2 may go up some too in places.
The chords it sounds like its strumming are Gmaj on the lower scale and then D5 on the higher
scale.
As Guitar 1 finishes on the 19th fret, Guitar 2 begins playing the riff that Guitar 1 played
during the verses but with more distortion this time. Guitar 2 plays this riff twice
and
then goes back to the chorus.
Outro
=====
Both of the guitars are playing the same chords but Guitar 2 just repeatedly picks downward
for a driving
feel using 1/8 notes.
The chord progession played is B5, G5, D5, D5.
Guitar 1 strums downward and mutes after each strum to make the notes more
distinct. Guitar 1 uses this rhythm:
E|-----------------------|
4 B|-----------------------| Notice that this rhythm is different from the rhythm
- G|--4-----4-----4--4--4--| used in the chorus.
4 D|--4-----4-----4--4--4--| This one is easier. :)
A|--2-----2-----2--2--2--|

Lyrics (as i written in the album cover)
========================================
Verse 1
Your eyes shine bright like a Jesus nitelite
I'd like to touch your positive vibes
Indifference eyes won't give me the time
May I help put aside your moral fiber
Verse 2
You're dressed in white my face is white
I'd like to be a colorful site to see
I'm only here in a background Here on the ground lays my head
I sleep and I wake make sounds and go to bed and wake again
Chorus (Chorus lyrics always repeat twice)
The time is right but I feel all wrong
It wastes away until it's gone
The time is right but I feel all wrong
It fades away and now you're gone
Bridge
You're walking by I'm standing by
Behind the light I'm standing by
By and by

| i think this song is about losing your virginity or having someone give up theirs to you. "You're eyes shine bright like a jesus nitelite" - innocence "You're dressed in white" - purity "My face is white" - fear, anxiety, nervousness "may i help put aside your moral fiber" - making somone lose their virginity/values aka "moral fiber" "I sleep and then I wake make sounds and go to bed and wake again"- going to sleep after sex maybe and feeling guilty or something along those lines "The time is right but I feel all wrong It wastes away until it's gone" - the time was perfect to lose it but he still feels guilty i'm really upset more people havent posted about this band...they're awesome | |

| These are all interesting perspectives of this song. This is my favorite song of the album. It just really touches me. Here is my perspective of this song. It has kind of been touched on already. The song is about a guy who is in love with someone, but he is an outcast and not noticed. He is in the "background" and wishes to be a "colorful sight to see" but unfortunately, he is not. Perhaps he is so infatuated with this girl (or guy) that he puts her on a pedastil as perfect (thus the white). He imagines her being ultimately pure and immaculate. The song is about getting the courage to go talk to her. "I sleep and wake make sounds and go to bed, and wake again." This is perhaps my absolute favorite line of the song. It is about his dull, uneventful, and monotonous life that is revolving about him thinking about talking to this girl. "The time is right, but I feel all wrong." He gets nervous and changes his mind. "It wastes away, and now its gone." He waiting to long and his opportunity passed him by. He's left "standing behind" | |
