to me its about a boy and a girl. they both have been jaded. but they are making it by leaning on each other. i absolutely love this song. its simple yet you wonder "how are they so happy?" its because they love eachother and they just gotta keep going on eachother. just keep going and it will all eventualy go away. "I still see those scary guys when I am all alone at night I kiss the ring you gave me then I swing with all my might" pure brilliance. its like im ok just knowing that i have you. just PURE brilliance. best part of the song.

What I want to know is who were the white men in black suits? What did they symbolize?

Love it, especially "all I want to do is lose myself in your room". Great song, and yeah it does stand out and has meaning.

White men in black suits symbolize the oppression of materialistic society. What I don't understand is the line: "I think it's getting better in the worst way"

I love this song so much... it's my absolute favorite song on afterglow. when I listen to it, it puts me in a different state of mind... like a bittersweet, almost content feeling? I can't really describe it other than to say that this song is amazing.

I agree with Lester, I think this song is about the man's grilfriend who is a stripper, and she dances for the white men in black suits, probably business men. "I still see those scary guys when I am all alone at night I kiss the ring you gave me then I swing with all my might I think it's getting better for the two of us I think it's getting easier for you and me to agree That the white men in black suits, they are diminishing" the scary guys are the men whom the woman he loves dances for, they diminish his hopes that shes the only man for him, yet things are getting better because they provide her with money to support themselves?? well that's my take on it anyway
