| i think it's a satire about this guy dating a girl, but the girl's only dating for attention, so she goes off with other guys and what na while he's left out in the dark. | |

| The name of the song "The New Black" is a play on the phrase "Pink is the New Black". This song is about people who jump on the bandwagon about "gothic" music, maybe like ETID. The line about it being about the ladies.....well....these guys have a reputation of being jokers, so there you go. "We don't dance no no no We got class No we don't have any fun at all" Refers to the perception that "gothic" people aren't fun that they are heathens (no class) "It's the new style and we know it We're not stunning, we just stunned and we're lying for a living" Refers to the fact that those with money are always in the know about what is becoming popular and how they percieve themselves as outcasts (not stunning) "Don't you know who I am?" No matter how hard popular band wagon people try to be "gothic" they always end up being ##### | |

| I don't think it's about girls. It seems it's about people who follow a trend blindly. "We don't dance no no no We got class No we don't have any fun at all It's the new style and we know it" -That makes me think of the kids that go to shows now-a-days and just stand there, they don't move around, they just sit with their arms folded in the back trying to look cool. It seems it's all about people who act a certain way just for attention. | |

| tilfordkage has issues about his try hard identity. etid are hardcore. not goth. and dont get tetchy. i was goth for a few years. i know the genres. i saw them in notts too. of course the song's about how fans//girls percieve the band and himself. | |

| Its so obvious This song is about pretentious kids such as hipsters that think they are better than others, they think everything sucks except for what they like. "It's the new style and we know it We're not stunning, we just stunned and we're lying for a living" *this line is about writing music for the industry and for the money and not for the music. it has nothing to do with gothic kids. there. i said it. | |
