Fabolous Biography

Fabolous (born John Jackson on November 18, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York) is a mixed African-American and Dominican rapper from Brooklyn who became a mainstream star after his debut single "Can't Deny It" from 2001 (see 2001 in music). Since then, he has gained popularity in the rap game for his mellow flow, crossover sensibilities, intricate lyrics, and witty punchlines (traits that have often compared his style to Harlem rapper Ma$e). Fabolous grew up around childhood friends, fellow Queens resident Asif, and also DJ-Clue. Fabolous has also moved through California with constant collaborator Ph.

The first star to come from DJ Clue's Desert Storm record label, Fabolous collaborated with Nate Dogg, The Neptunes, Lil Mo, Timbaland, Ja Rule and others on Ghetto Fabolous. "Can't Deny It" and Ghetto Fabolous became crossover hits. The follow-up, Street Dreams, produced two top 10 pop hits in "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You". Fabolous's 3rd album, Real Talk, was released in 2004.

Fabolous has made guest appearances on tracks by many different artists including Jennifer Lopez, Christina Milian, Miri Ben-Ari, Amerie, Mariah Carey, Jesse McCartney and Yummy.

Fabolous also is close to comleting a deal that will see him sign for Def Jam where his 4th studio album Case Closed will be releaed
