Far were a band from Sacramento, USA, spawned from the same local scene as (their former touring partners), Deftones.
After a number of local releases including their first demo tape Sweat A River, Live No Lies and album Listening Game they signed to Immortal Records and released their first major record: Tin Cans With Strings to You.
Their second album, Water and Solutions, was released in 1998 and attracted a cult following.
