The Feederz were formed in 1977 by Frank Discussion and Dan Clark, who was known as "Clear Bob" while in the group. Art Nouveau (John Vivier) later joined the group as their drummer.
The Feederz became notorious before ever playing when they released a scathing communique which led local media to believe they were a terrorist organization. At the end of their first show, Frank Discussion caused a panic by shooting blanks from an AR-15 assault rifle into the audience.
During the early period of the band the only released recording was a 4 song EP called Jesus.
In 1982, Frank Discussion wrote "Bored With School" which thoroughly deprecated school, work and society. He distributed 5,000 copies of the paper to local high schools under the seal of the Arizona Department of Education. He fled Arizona to escape arrest for this incident. Discussion settled in San Francisco, and reformed the Feederz with Mark Roderick and D.H. Peligro, with whom he recorded Ever Feel Like Killing Your Boss.
The Feederz reformed in 2002 and released Vandalism: Beautiful as a Rock in a Cop's Face. They toured throughout 2003.
The singer-songwriter Frank Discussion has disappeared from sight and is rumoured to be living among the Zapatistas somewhere in Chiapas, Mexico.
