Thats my first interpretation anyway. moments taking eachothers place is just an example of nothing eventful, just time passing. never knowing who you are - constraints on people's knowledge. This of course would assume that 'knowing' who you are is essential - and since you can't the songwriter would pay to be cut out of such a cycle. I like this song a lot - however, I think that it also assumes certain things that neglect the possibility of other important things in life. maybe I just don't get it yet - who knows. I'll keep listening to it regardless. | |
